This is a precision built boring head which is especially good for jig-boring where fine adjustment and rigidity are very important. A precision screw allows for very accurate micrometer adjustments of the tool bit slide. The slide has a travel of 5/8". A 3/4" diameter hole in the top end of the head permits the insertion of a 3/4" diameter shank boring bar for small hole boring. All parts are heat treated precision fitted and/or ground.
